SNP Response To David Trimbles Speech

SNP MSP Humza Yousaf said that Lord Trimble "appears to know as little about modern Scottish identity as David Cameron does".
He added: "This is exactly what David Cameron and Ruth Davidson didn't want - their much promised positive case for the Union hasn't even survived the Tory launch event, and now lies in tatters. It is precisely this sort of negative nonsense that is so damaging to the Tory-led anti-independence campaign.
"Lord Trimble couldn't be more wrong about Scotland.
"Independence is the broad, inclusive and positive option for Scotland, in which the wide range of identities we have in our modern nation - Scottish, British, Pakistani, Chinese, Polish, Irish and many, many more - can all be reflected and celebrated."

Rick Santorum Attacks Previous GOP Presidential Candidates As To Moderate

“We want a conservative nominee because that’s our best chance of winning. Look at the races in the last 30 years, we nominated a moderate: [John] McCain, [Bob] Dole, Gerald Ford. When George [H.W.] Bush ran for re-election back in 1992, after raising taxes and increasing spending. They all ran as moderates. We all lost,” Santorum said.
“Every time we’ve run as a conservative, we’ve won,” the candidate continued. “Why? Because Americans want a choice. If it’s a difference between somebody, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, you know what, this country is going to probably going to stick with the person they know. We need to have a sharp contrast. Someone who paints a very different vision for America.”

Newt Gingrich Accuses Mitt Romneys Backers Of Brainwashing

"It's just Wall Street pouring money in to try to buy the election," Gingrich told a few hundred supporters Wednesday evening at a rally in northern Georgia.

"In fact, I think eight of his top 10 sources are people who got money out of the U.S.  taxpayer. So in a sense, the next time you see a negative ad, you're watching your money come back to brainwash you on behalf of the people that took your money in order to stay rich."
